MUST Ministries is teaming up with Roswell United Methodist Church, as well as North Springs United Methodist, this summer to once again rescue hungry children by providing and delivering sack lunches to various housing neighborhoods.

“This is our 18th year to provide meals and our third in north Fulton,” stated Gayle Kruger, north Fulton MUST coordinator. “We plan to serve 400 children each weekday totaling 20,000 meals, but we need community support.”

The lunches are made by sports teams, families, businesses, churches and anyone who is willing to volunteer and then taken to host sites where packers and checkers perform quality control checks, making sure each lunch has its necessary contents.

Now 18 years later, the sack lunch program, first reaching just 25 children one summer, has now expanded to eight countries.

One teenager recently spoke to MUST to thank them for helping her become the young woman she is today.

She lived with an older brother and sister, but had no food.

MUST not only brought her nourishment, but encouraged her that God loved her and was going to take care of her.

The several host sites in north Fulton are working to provide for the community. People who want to participate in this project can visit the MUST website to volunteer or donate supplies.
