Alpharetta First, a sub-committee of the Alpharetta Business Association, is supporting restaurants and businesses by asking residents to keep their money in the city with the Keep it Local campaign.

The goal of the campaign is to encourage citizens to keep their dollars in Alpharetta by shopping at local stores, eating at local restaurants and participating in the several attractions and events the city has to offer.

Campaign banners now hang around the city and posters and decals have been given to every small business in order to raise awareness.

“When buyers think of purchasing, we want them to think first of our local businesses as they strengthen our economy and support our Alpharetta community,” stated Donald Mitchell, Alpharetta city councilman. “This is a good time for everyone to contribute to the economic viability of our community by supporting our local businesses.”

Now with support from the city council, Alpharetta First wants to draw attention to the needs of businesses.

The banners, posters and decals are to remind the community to buy locally, because without that money businesses will no longer continue to thrive.
