In a news release, the East Andrews Entertainment District and other bars in Buckhead announced they will host the Where’s Waldo Bar Crawl Saturday from 4 to 11 p.m. The event will benefit OneSight, a nonprofit committed to providing clear vision to millions in need through the hand delivery of primary vision care and eyewear. At the event, men and women are invited to attempt to break the of world record of 3,872 for the most people dressed as the iconic children’s book character Waldo, set in Dublin, Ireland, in 2011.

Participants are invited to enjoy a complimentary drink at East Andrews, Stout Irish Pub, Andrews Upstairs, Red Door Tavern, Lost Dog Tavern and Dive Bar as they enjoy live music and DJs, a costume contest, a Waldo-style scavenger hunt, prizes, an after party and more. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door.

While most bar crawls take participants from bar to bar, the Where’s Waldo Bar Crawl is more of a festival atmosphere. Waldos and Wandas set their own pace and can visit each bar at their leisure. Prizes will be given out through the course of the event, and there will be an after party at Andrews Upstairs beginning at 9 p.m. for all event goers featuring a high-energy performance from 80’s R Us, an Atlanta ’80s tribute band.

For Waldos and Wandas in need of costumes, the Where’s Waldo Bar Crawl has partnered with Costumes Etc. Purchase a Waldo or Wanda costume online at www.costumes-etc.com and 15 percent of all sales will be donated to OneSight.
