Jeneal Johnson knew her vocal talents were better than average at an early age.

But it was not until she lost her daughter in a tragic fire that she realized that God wanted her to use her voice to minister to others.

“That traumatic experience pushed me to my destiny,” Ms. Johnson said. “It really drew me to Christ.”

A gospel artist who started out as a quartet singer, Johnson has made a name for herself across Northwest Georgia as a unique talent.

Ahmad Hall, Adairsville native and vice president of Muzikalsol (musical soul) Productions said Johnson is the “total package.”

“She has the voice, she has the integrity as a singer and the charisma,” said Hall. “She knows how to draw people into her music.”

Hall describes Johnson’s musical style as a mix of jazz, blues and a even a bit of country Western.

“There’s nothing that she can’t sing or can’t relate to the every day person,” Hall said.

Hall said Johnson’s vibrant personality is one of the many reasons Muzikalsol partnered with GNF (God Never Fails Records) to present her in concert at the Church at Liberty Square July 27 at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

General tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. VIP tickets are $20 in advance only.

Hall said the concert is a “rebranding” of Johnson who will be performing well-known classics as well as new music.

Hall said he hopes a full house turns out to enjoy the concert but the caveat is that they leave changed.

“First and foremost, we want them to take away Jesus,” Hall said. “There’s an element of entertainment but the main idea is to glorify God.”

Hall said Muzikalsol and God Never Fails Records, a ministry of the Rev. Willie Coombs and Greater New Fellowship Baptist Church n Cartersville plan to bring future concerts to the area to display the wealth of local talent.

Hall said this concert is just the beginning.

“We want to present something exciting and new,” Hall said.
