Softball camp brings Olympic gold to Roswell

The Roswell Softball Association and the Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department will host the Jennie Finch Softball Camp from July 27 to 28.

The camp will be held at East Roswell Park and open to females from 3rd grade through college, offering a great opportunity to learn from one of softball’s most renowned ambassadors.

Fitch’s career, spanned from the University of Arizona to USA Softball, has had a transformative impact on softball. Her long list of accomplishments includes being gold medalist at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece and a silver medalist at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Ftich is also a two-time Pan American Games gold medalist and three-time World Cup of Softball champion.

Advance registration is required and space is limited.

The session on July 27 will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 28.

The fee is $175 per camper and there is a $25 cancellation fee before July 13.

No refunds will be offer after that date as well.
