Outdoor movies held in Milton, Johns Creek, Alpharetta

The city of Milton will finish its “Flicks and Flurries” summer event series Aug. 24 with a screening of “The Sandlot” at Friendship Community Park. The movie will start at dusk, but activities, games and concessions will begin at 7 p.m.

Johns Creek’s summer movie series will also close out Aug. 24 with a showing of “Oz, the Great and Powerful” at Newtown Park.

The movie will start at dusk with children’s activities and entertainment beforehand.

The city of Alpharetta will screen “Oz, the Great and Powerful” Aug. 23 on Old Roswell Street, behind Smokejack restaurant. The movie will start at dusk with pre-show festivities beginning an hour prior.
