Police reports of note from the from Atlanta Police Department Zone 2, which includes Buckhead, from the week of Aug. 18 through Aug. 24.

 SANDALS LOVER: At 2611 Bolton Road Aug. 22, a black male suspect walked up to the victim and grabbed her by the arm. When she tried to run away, he took her sandals and ran away from the location.

 OPPORTUNIST: At 220 26th St. Aug. 16, the victim said she put a suitcase, a hair dryer, a brush and comb set, an easel, a pastel box and a set of pastels in the hallway, in front of her apartment door while she cleaned inside. She noticed the items were missing when she opened her door. The victim said she reported the incident to the building management, but not to police and needed a report for insurance purposes.

 FRIEND OR FOE: At 500 Northside Circle Aug. 20, a female was in a rental vehicle with her male friend and as they pulled onto the street, she realized she’d forgotten something and asked him to turn around. She said he was annoyed, but he turned around anyway. When she got out of the vehicle, he sped off with her belongings still inside. A Samsung Galaxy Note II, a purse with debit and credit cards, keys to a car, a house and a studio and a USB jump drive were taken. A third party heard the victim scream and called 911.

 CAR TROUBLE: At 2525 Piedmont Road Aug. 18, the victim called to inform that his vehicle, a 2007 burgundy Dodge Charger, was stolen by a random guy he picked up on the street. The victim said the suspect told him he was going to give him a good deal on some electronics items at Best Buy. The victim reported that once they were at the location, he left the suspect inside the car with the keys in the ignition. The victim said the suspect left the scene shortly after.

 BELT BURNED: At the Gregory Store at 3393 Peachtree Road Aug. 22, the arrestee was observed selecting belts from the location, then attempted to leave the location without paying. The arrestee ran from the location but was stopped a short distance away.

The names and charges above are from area arrest warrants and crime reports. A warrant is merely an accusation of a crime, and accused people are innocent until proven guilty.
