Candidates qualify for upcoming municipal elections in DeKalb

Qualifying ended last week for the 2013 general municipal elections with several newcomers entering their hats into the ring for local elections.

Below is the list of qualified candidates.

Brookhaven
District 2 City Council: Jim Eyre (incumbent)
District 4 City Council: Joe Gebbia (incumbent)

Dunwoody
District 1, Post 1 City Council: Denis Shortal (incumbent), Henly Shelton and David Davis
District 2, Post 2 City Council: Heyward Wescott, Jim Riticher and William A.J. Mercier
District 3, Post 3 City Council: Doug Thompson (incumbent) and Sam Eads

Chamblee
Mayor: R. Eric Clarkson (incumbent)
District 1 City Council: John Mesa
At-Large City Council: Scott M. Taylor (incumbent)

Doraville
District 1 City Council: Robert Patrick (incumbent)
District 2 City Council: Dawn O’Connor and Brian Bates (incumbent)
District 3 City Council: Sharon Spangler and Karen Pachuta (incumbent)

Stone Mountain
Mayor: Cyril Mungal and Patricia Wheeler (incumbent)
Post 4 City Council: Susan Coletti (incumbent)
