The driving force behind Dunwoody volleyball resurgence over the past two weeks has been setter Paige McKnight. The junior helped lead the Wildcats to five wins over a seven match stretch from Aug. 24 to 27, including four consecutive wins over Archer, Daluca, Grayson and Providence Christian.

Through Aug. 27, McKnight led the Wildcats’ season statistics in aces (33), kills (80), assists (113), blocks (8) and was second in digs (73).

“Paige is one of the best setters in the state,” said Dunwoody head coach Nikki Hawkins. “She is a valuable team member who adds an incredibly competitive spirit and drive to do it right every time. She plays her part leading by skill as one of our team captains.”

McKnight is also a member of the A5 Volleyball club team, based in Roswell, and has verbally committed to attend college at Georgetown University. She helped lead the Wildcats to the state playoffs last season and was named to the All-Region team.
