A big tent set up on Milton Avenue will house a taste of the old world as the European Market returns to Alpharetta for its second year.

More than two dozen local artisans and antique retailers will sell their treasures at the two-day affair which will take place Sept. 21 and 22.

Roswell-based Bohemian Bird will be one such vendor.

Owner Tamara Robertson describes her style as “boho chic that’s fun.” She sells handmade clothing, boots, hats, jewelry and special one-of-a-kind pieces, many made by herself or her friends.

Bohemian Bird returns for its second year at European Market, and Robertson looks forward to showing off her new fall collection to customers at this year’s event.

“We were one of the favorite vendors [last year] because we have such a following,” she said.

“Historic Alpharetta area is a great location to have this market. People really love trolling around in the fall weather.”

Robertson said she only advertises on Facebook but gets a lot of business via word-of-mouth. Bohemian Bird is in its fourth year and is a preferred vendor for Country Living antique shows held across the country, she said. She describes the handcrafted attire she creates and sells as “pretty girls’ clothes.”

“It’s hard to find cute clothes that are made for women that feel comfortable but are really pretty and feminine,” she said.

Starting the first week of October, shoppers will be able to purchase Bohemian Bird merchandise at a new artist co-operative opening at 1116 Canton St. in Roswell.

Part gallery and part retail shop, the co-op will feature work from about 100 different artists and artisans, Robertson said.
