Paving work on the intersection of Windward Parkway and Westside Parkway in Alpharetta originally scheduled for the next two days has been rescheduled for the next two evenings. Contractors will begin work at 7 p.m. today and tomorrow and work through the evenings until 6 a.m. the following day.

The schedule adjustment results from the rainy conditions earlier this week. By shifting the work to the overnight hours, contractors will have more uninterrupted work time and will be able to complete the project by the weekend.

The city of Alpharetta is urging motorists to select alternative travel routes to avoid this intersection for the next two evenings. Those traveling east / west are encouraged to use Old Milton Parkway / State Route 120 as their primary route. Motorists traveling north / south should consider using North Point Parkway or Highway 9.
