With many key offensive players no longer on the roster this season, Landmark Christian senior setter Ellen Anderson had her concerns about the team’s success.

“We had a great outside hitter in Tiffany Creamer last year so I was really worried that we would have a big hole to fill,” Anderson said. “But Cameron Dobbs has really stepped up. She's been a blessing. She has blown way past any expectations.”

As a result, Anderson is ranked No. 6 in the state by for assists with 670.

Also before their games against Newnan and Starr’s Mill on Tuesday, the Lady War Eagles were winners of their last eight contests.

“Our coach tells us we take things in thirds,” Anderson said. “We are in the last third now and we should be running full speed. I think each girl is really set on wanting a state championship so it’s definitely a goal of our whole team to go back and get it again hopefully.”

Even though Anderson is ranked amongst the best at her position, she does not plan to play in college. Anderson would “love” to attend Georgia next year and begin preparing for medical school.

“Even though the end is near, I’m just hoping to finish strong and whatever God has planned for our team, we will be able to accomplish that,” Anderson said.
