EDITOR:

Several [recent] issues of the Neighbor contained letters decrying loss of honey bees and urging legislation to ban pesticides.

This is a complex subject and banning pesticides could be a disaster like the banning of DDT which caused deaths of many millions due to malaria. A detailed examination of the bee problem is given in the article “To Bee or Not To Bee” by Paul Driessen found at this link (http://blog.heartland.org/2013/09/to-bee-or-not-to-bee/).

Beware of false prophets. Asking politicians to pass bad legislation may produce your wish.
