The senior, who has started every game this season, has played his biggest role on the defensive side of the football, anchoring the North Springs defense at free safety and linebacker.
He has also given a boost to the Spartan offense at tailback.
Hollomon was instrumental for North Springs in its 35-34 victory over Hapeville Sept. 6 – a win which ended the team’s 33-game losing streak.
He also assisted in strong performances for the Spartans in their 34-16 loss to crosstown rival Riverwood Sept. 13 and a 36-27 defeat at the hands of Sequoyah Oct. 11.
“He plays tailback for us on offense, but it is his defensive prowess that has separated him from his peers,” North Springs coach Steve Horton said. “He is a very good tackler who will also deliver a blow. He leads the team in tackles and forced fumbles. Jalen is a good student and has great character. He has been a pleasure to coach this year.”
