After missing the 2012-13 season with a torn ACL, Roswell’s Andreona Keys has come back in a big way.

The 5-foot-10 senior guard and Purdue signee has picked up where she left off, leading the Lady Hornets in scoring with 21.9 points a game, 2.8 assists per contest and 2.8 steals per game.

Keys had a season-high 31 points as well as seven rebounds in Roswell’s 62-58 loss to north Fulton rival Chattahoochee last Saturday and had 22 points and eight rebounds in a 48-36 win over Walton last Friday.

She has also scored 30 points and had seven rebounds in an earlier 52-30 win over Walton Dec. 13.

With Keys and fellow senior Nikki Cwalina back in the lineup after missing last season due to injury, Roswell has turned itself around from a 3-23 record a year ago to 11-7 and a Region 5AAAAAA-leading 6-1 mark.

“She can do it all,” Roswell coach Lisa Kennedy said. “She’s a natural shooting guard, she plays point [guard], she plays shooting guard, and we put her in the post if there is a mismatch. She can do all those things really well. She is an all-around great player and a great kid.”
