Paulding athletes at all five high schools accepted scholarships to play sports for a number of universities Wednesday.

South Paulding High School students signed scholarships to play football at three different universities, including Arkansas of the Southeastern Conference and Kennesaw State's inaugural football team.

The school'sathletic department hosted its annual Signing Day event for its graduating seniors. The following student-athletes signed:

-Khalia Hackett (football / University of Arkansas).

-Jae Bowen (football / Kennesaw State).

-Chandler Burks (football / Kennesaw State).

-Lorenzo Adger (football / Kennesaw State).

-Maurice Collier (football / Point University).

Meanwhile, the North Paulding athletic department held its annual Signing Day event .The following student-athletes accepted scholarships :

-Mac Seagle (football / Maryville College).

-Jace White (football / Kennesaw State).

-Qua Stocks (football / Tusculum College).

-Jack Senkowitz (football / University of the Cumberlands).

-Nikki Vaughn (softball / Georgia Highlands).

-Jamie Allen (women’s soccer / Shorter College).

-Hannah Taylor (women’s soccer / Middle Georgia State College).

-Erin Stitt (women’s soccer / Middle Georgia State College).

-Taylor Wilks (women’s swimming / Rollins College).

-Ashley Taylor (cross country / Western Carolina).

East Paulding also held a Signing Day event Wednesday. The following student-athletes accepted scholarships:

-Connor Christian (football / Savannah State)

-Chris Guinn (football / Savannah State)

-Kaitlin McDonald (women's soccer / Georgia State College)

-Melissa Rogers (women's soccer / Georgia State College)

Josh Klein, Dylan Coleman and Johnny Furby were to accept offers from West Georgia Technical College, but the college announced this week it was withdrawing plans for a football program.

Hiram's athletic department hosted a Signing Day event as well. The following student-athletes accepted scholarships:

DJ Jackson (football / Catawba College)

Dakota Adair (football / University of Pikeville)

Kendall Davis (football / Tusculum College)

Jamal Hinds (football / Tusculum College)

Eli Saucier (football / Hamilton College)

MacKenzie Chambers (women's volleyball / Gulf Coast State)

Emmye Holbert (women's soccer / Columbus State University)

Paulding County High School girls' soccer player Dominique Dudzinski accepted a scholarship to attend Georgia Southwestern State University.
