A Roswell-based nonprofit that has helped more than 30,000 children since 2000 has some terrific live and silent auction items lined up for its annual gala March 22.

The 10th Foster Care Support Foundation’s All Kids Count fundraiser will be at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead from 7 to 11 p.m.

Horse lovers and racers will want to bid on a Sweet Sensation Arabian horse, donated by Hoffman Realty and valued at $20,000.

Also on the block will be a Nokia Lumia Icon cell phone, a cocktail party for 25 with entertainment, chocolate diamond jewelry and a dinner party for 12 with “Cheftainer” Alex Reethof from the TV series “Back to the Table.” Even more items include Princess birthday baskets, college memorabilia and artwork, fine dining and jewelry, children’s items and travel, Polo Fields gift cards and weekend stays.

“The All Kids Count Gala helps us raise about three-quarters of our operating funds so that we can help 3,000 foster and displaced children throughout Georgia each year,” said Rachel Ewald, the nonprofit’s executive director. “It’s a lot of fun for people to go and find great items, dance, eat, and enjoy the entertainment all for a most worthy cause, supporting the future of our youngest at-risk Georgians.” The foundation was begun by a foster mom, who after fostering more than 50 children, had a vision of a strengthened system and started a support program out of her garage. It now operates out of a 20,000-square-foot donation and distribution center in Roswell. Its mission is to strengthen the ability of foster families to meet the needs of their foster children through a community-based resource and education programs that can decrease the need for institutionalized care  Tickets are $175 and can be purchased at www.fostercares.org or by calling (770) 641-9591.
