Caroline Saltmarsh played a key role for North Atlanta last year as it went 10-8 and qualified for the Class AAAAA state girls’ soccer playoffs after going 2-14 the previous season.

The sophomore center midfielder/defender has picked up where she left off at the start of the 2014 season as a strong contributor to North Atlanta’s 4-1 start in the 2014 campaign, leading the Lady Warriors with six goals as well as being the team’s top tackler on defense.

“We have a lot of talented players, but Caroline is probably the most consistent,” North Atlanta coach Robert Bramlett said. “Caroline basically plays all parts of the field, so she’s equally as good on defense and she is on offense. She’s very aggressive. She plays with strength and she is quick. She is a little bit younger, so she’s not necessarily a leader. But, she sort of leads by example.”

Saltmarsh made her mark on the national level when she was invited to the training camp of U.S. Soccer’s under-15 girls’ national team last year.
