“The season has been going well and we’ve faced some tough competition that’s given us some tough matches,” Williams said.
“ C.J. is a quiet leader and encourages all of his teammates,” head coach Barry Dukes said. “He’s a consistent performer and a joy to coach.”
North Paulding has experienced a turnaround from last season when it finished with only six wins and an overall losing record. “We’ve gotten some freshman who’ve helped us out this season and changed our lineup several times to get new players in but we’ve figured it out,” Williams noted.
The Wolfpack made the state playoffs last season despite a losing record and dropped in the first round by Winder-Barrow. This season, North Paulding has optimism heading into the postseason. “We can take it far if we stay focused and work hard to go further in the playoffs this year,” said Williams.
Williams plans to pursue a career in engineering, possibly within the aviation industry. The Wolfpack return to action on April 15 at the region tournament held within Lost Mountain Park in Powder Springs.
