Atlanta style experts will model their enviable looks, including Danita Knight, Elizabeth Noe, Lisa Cannon Taylor, Kimberly Euston and Ché Watkins. Day to evening looks will also be presented by fashion stylists Molly Webb and Jordan Wright from The Spin Style Agency, Trina Small of BabyShopaholic and Dana LeBoeuf and Blake Thibodeau of Cultured Blog.
The evening of fashion also features special guest model Shanay Benton, 2012 winner of the Sue Wieland Embracing Possibility Shining Example honor. Benton is an alumna of Create Your Dreams, a youth-enrichment program for students living in underserved areas of northwest Atlanta. She has gone on to become a second-grade teacher and a member of Create’s board. In 2006, Sue Wieland and her husband John made a $1 million gift to the foundation. Each year it honors their generous gift with the Sue Wieland Embracing Possibility Award. The award is a special grant of $10,000 given each year at the foundation’s Numbers Too Big To Ignore fundraising luncheon to a nonprofit based on the organization’s work with an individual women or girl, which has resulted in significant change in her life.
After the runway presentation, the fashion experts will serve as personal stylists and take guests shopping in Bloomingdale’s for the latest spring looks. Ten percent of the purchases will be donated to the foundation.
To attend the event, RSVP to Molly@EverywhereAgency.com.
Those unable to attend can still support the foundation. Shop at Bloomingdale’s any time from Monday through April 23, ask for a duplicate receipt and mail the duplicate receipt to the foundation at The Atlanta Women’s Foundation, Attn.: Wendy Kelley, 50 Hurt Plaza SE, Suite 401, Atlanta, Ga. 30303.
