The Sandy Springs Police Department announced Tuesday in a news release Peter McCutcheon, wanted for several bank robberies, including two in Sandy Springs, as well as Alpharetta, Atlanta, including one in Buckhead, and Gwinnett County, was arrested by the Chamblee Police Department Monday on criminal trespass charges.

McCutcheon initially gave Chamblee Police a false name until confronted by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, who positively identified McCutcheon, said Sgt. Ron Momon, a Sandy Springs Police spokesman. McCutcheon was transported to Sandy Springs Police headquarters and interviewed by detectives. He was then lodged in the Fulton County Jail pending his first court appearance.
