In partnership with the Atlanta Jazz Festival, Atlanta City Council members Felicia Moore and Alex Wan, who each represent portions of Buckhead, will host two Neighborhood Jazz Series concerts this weekend.

The first concert, hosted by Moore, will take place Saturday at Grove Park, 709 Hortense Place. It will include live jazz performances from 4 to 8 p.m. by vocalists Gwen Hughes, Valerie Bell-Smith, Kimmily Paulette and Judith Franklin.

The second concert, hosted by Wan, will be held at McClatchey Park, located at Avery and Westminster drives, Sunday. It will include live performances from 4 to 8 p.m. by New Orleans Funk and R&B music performers the Mar-Tans, saxophonist Eric Fontaine with Strings and jazz guitarist Alex Gordon Hi-Fi.

Both concerts are free and open to the public. Attendees can bring lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets. All park rules do apply.

In the event of inclement weather, Saturday’s concert will be held June 29.
