The Sandy Springs City Council announced Tuesday it will gather July 9 at 1 p.m. to tour a range of performing arts centers within metro Atlanta. The purpose of the tour is to provide the council with examples of performing arts facilities as the city considers adding performing arts capacity to the planned city center.

The council will also meet in a special-called workshop that day at 7 p.m. as representatives from Johnson Consulting present an overview of their findings from a market feasibility study commissioned by the council to explore options for a performing arts center as part of the city center master plan. That meeting will be held in council chambers at Sandy Springs City Hall, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500.
