Centennial Jr. Knights football registration

Online registration for the 2014 Centennial Jr. Knight football season is open. The Jr. Knights are the feeder team for Centennial High School and fields football teams for players in the third through eighth grades. The third, fourth and fifth grade teams are open to all regardless of where the player resides, while the sixth, seventh and eighth grade teams are for players residing in the Centennial High School district. Blessed Trinity Junior Titan football registration

Registration for Blessed Trinity Junior Football is now open to all rising sixth, seventh and eighth graders (current fifth, sixth and seventh graders). All interested players should visit www.btcatholic.org/Football-Feeder to get more information and to register for the upcoming season.

Alpharetta Raiders boys’ lacrosse registration

Alpharetta Raiders Lacrosse is organizing a lacrosse team for 7 and 8-year old boys (U9) that will begin play this fall.

The Alpharetta Raiders Lacrosse U9 team is for boys who are eight or younger on Sept. 1, 2014. It will compete at the Recreational level in the Newtown League against other local teams that feed into high schools such as Milton, Cambridge and Centennial.

Registration is currently open and ends July 18. Programs fees are not yet final, but will likely be around $200 per child. A commitment dinner will be held in late July.

Player evaluations will be held in early August, after which practice will begin. Games start in early September. The season lasts through November, with all games in the north Fulton area.

Heroes in Recovery 6K road race registration

Registration is now available for the Heroes in Recovery 6K, which will be held at Riverside Park in Roswell July 26 at 7:30 a.m.

The event is being presented by Foundations Atlanta at Roswell and will benefit MARR’s Right Side Up, which offers long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment for women with dependent children under the age of 13.

The race will include awards presented to the top three males and females in the overall category. Additional prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in their age divisions.

Registered participants will each receive a short-sleeve technical t-shirt and finisher’s medal.

Cost: $30, increasing to $35 and $40 on race day.

Centennial Jr. Knights softball registration

To all rising sixth, seventh and eighth grade girls who are zoned for Centennial High School. Softball season will begin in August and players need to register by August.

The Centennial Jr. Knights program is recruiting now and needs players.

Milton HYA Baseball Fall Registration now open

Online registration for Hopewell Youth Association’s Fall 2014 recreational baseball season for players ages four through 15 is now open at the group’s website www.hopewellbaseball.org.

Due to the Bell Memorial Park expansion project kicking off in August, this season will be split between several locations. However, through agreements with other cities, counties, schools, parks and leagues, HYA is able to offer the full range of leagues.

Four to eight-year-old tee ball and coach pitch will be played at Fowler and Midway Parks in Forsyth County, while nine to 10-year-olds will play at Hopewell Middle School in Milton and 11 to 12-year-olds and 13-to-15-year-olds will play at Wills Park in Alpharetta.

Registration will close July 21.

A $25 late fee will be charged for any registrations after this date. Each phase of the registration is open to all ages.

Skill assessments for all age groups will be held Aug. 2 (rain out date Aug. 3) at Bell Memorial Park – the last activity it will host before it is closed for construction. Time and field assignment for each age group will be announced when registration closes

Centennial Mini-Cheer camp registration

A Mini-Cheer camp for ages four through 12 will be held at the Centennial High School gym July 28 through Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A special performance by the campers will take place on the last day of the camp – Aug. 1 – at noon.

New this year is the option of your child staying for extended care for the first four days of the camp from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m..

A special discount will be offered to children of Fulton County Schools staff as well as to families with multiple children attending the camp.

Deadline for the early bird registration period is June 30.

JCYFA Youth Football and Cheer registration

The Johns Creek Youth Football Association (JCYFA) is now registering elementary age children for their 2014 fall season.

JCYFA offers tackle football for rising third, fourth and fifth graders, flag football for kindergarten through fourth graders and cheerleading for grades kindergarden through five.
