Johns Creek residents can safely dispose of sensitive documents Saturday, Aug. 2, 9 a.m. to 1p.m. at Panera Bread Company, 11715 Medlock Bridge Road.

The commercial shredding service is sponsored by the restaurant chain, Keep Johns Creek Beautiful, and the City of Johns Creek. All paper will be recycled. The shredding is done on-site for free by Cintas.

To avoid identity theft, the Federal Trade Commission recommends shredding charge receipts, copies of credit applications, insurance forms, physician statements, checks and bank statements, expired charge cards and credit offers.

For more information, contact Keep Johns Creek Beautiful at 770-551-7766 orinfo@knfb.org.
