Henry County Elections and Registration Director Janet Shellnutt said she expects a light turnout today at the polls.

"We only voted 2,374 during advance voting and have around 300 absentee ballots that have returned. With checking with a few precincts this morning, it has been very slow," she said.

Shellnutt said she will be "surprised" if 15 percent of the county's 117,000 registered voters cast their ballots in this election.

She said there are no glitches or problems at the polls.

"We have no changes with our precincts. All 38 are open from 7 to 7 today," she said.
