Richard Barron, director of registration and elections for Fulton County, made the following statements at a morning press conference.

"Today is a partisan primary runoff election. We have 365 polling precincts in Fulton County for today’s election and 222 polling locations. All polls opened on time this morning. Our precincts are supported by approximately 1,600 poll workers. We worked hard to ensure that these poll workers were prepared to assist voters today and we want to thank them for their service. Currently Fulton County has 536,670 active registered voters. Our polls are equipped with one touch screen voting unit for every 350 voters. We expect relatively light turnout for today’s election. As of approximately 9:30 a.m., approximately 4,021 Fulton voters had been to the polls. However, we are prepared for every voter who comes out today. During early voting 8,666 Fulton County voters cast their ballots."
