Chicken Salad Chick, a fast-casual restaurant company based out of Alabama, is scheduled to open its new franchise location in Alpharetta on August 19.

The new restaurant will be located in the Stonewalk at Northpoint Commons Shopping Centre at 970 Northpoint Drive, Suite B190.

“We are so excited to bring the Chicken Salad Chick experience to our second Atlanta area location,” said Kevin Brown, company president.

“We are confident that this location in Alpharetta will enrich the growing CSC community across the Southeast.”

Owners Chip Patterson, Chris Damico, Stephen Polhill and Scott Pressly of PDP Ventures LLC are excited to bring a restaurant to Alpharetta following on the heels of the company’s recent franchise launch in Marietta.

PDP plans to open nine additional locations in the Atlanta market, as well as two in Athens.

“Chicken salad is a staple in the South. People are looking for something simple, fresh and delicious … and Chicken Salad Chick has it,” said Damico.

“Stacy and Kevin have created a wonderful concept that is equally exciting for consumers and franchisees alike,” said Pressly. “We are excited to be part of the Chicken Salad Chick family and are thrilled that our first of many stores in the greater Atlanta market will be in Alpharetta.”

The restaurant’s concept was established in Auburn, Ala., in 2008 in the kitchen of founder Stacy Brown.

Brown quickly learned that selling a homemade recipe from her kitchen is against the law, and after being shut down by the health department, she decided to solicit the business expertise of her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown.

Together, they opened a small takeout restaurant which quickly grew to enormous demand and additional locations. The unique concept offers customers a “custom-fit” chicken salad experience, with 15 original flavors to choose from, as well as gourmet soups, flavorful side salads and freshly-baked desserts.

The company will be developing 85 franchises across the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina, and has plans to expand nationally in the next few years.

“After getting to know so many loyal guests in nearby Marietta, we are thrilled to expand our presence in the Atlanta area,” said Brown. “It is so encouraging that great people like the men of PDP Ventures want to share our concept and passion with those in their area.”
