A public meeting is scheduled for Aug. 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Dallas Civic Center in downtown Dallas to discuss future transportation needs and receive feedback on the Paulding Comprehensive Transportation Plan update.

The center is at 208 Main St.

For the past several months, Paulding County and the cities of Dallas, Hiram and Braswell have been involved in a planning process that examines how the travel demand anticipated over the next 20-year period can be best accommodated. The process looks at all modes of transportation and the interconnections within the county and all the cities.

The purpose of the meeting is to present preliminary transportation needs and to obtain feedback from residents as well as business owners, workers in the cities and counties, and others.

Potential projects on roadway connections, intersections, roadway capacity, transit, and bike and pedestrian will be presented and discussed. Public participation has been an integral part of the study process.

Additional information can also be found on the project’s web site at www.pauldingctp.us. Those wishing to comment may also send emails to contact@peqatl.com.
