Lt. Joey Smith of the Henry County Police Department said officers are investigating a domestic disturbance situation on Cobblestone Lane in McDonough. The female involved left the home and went to a local elementary school to call 911. The female and any involved children are safe and speaking to investigators. The HCPD is trying to make contact with the male occupant of the home and have been on scene since 12:45 p.m. Due to the uncertainty, school buses are not able to navigate through the subdivision to drop off children. There will be charges on the suspect. The HCPD is making a determination if he is in fact inside the home or at another location. SWAT is on scene as well.

"As pertinent information is available, we will update," Smith said.

UPDATE at 5:50 p.m.: "Our officers have made entry on Cobblestone Lane and have detained two male subjects. There will be charges. No injuries. Residents are able to go to their homes," Smith said.
